A Sad Day

Sir Patrick Stewart passed today. He was a prolific, versatile and wonderful actor. I, of course, got to know him as Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the starship Enterprise. But he was much more. From Shakespeare to Saturday Night Live to Star Trek, he did it all.

Take sixty seconds and watch this sililiquoy he did for Sesame Street about the second letter of our alphabet, "B or not a B." It has it all. Eloquence, humor, respect for our rich history, and most of all, his embracing, warm humanity.

Good night, sweet prince.
